Here is the Pizza Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 1,000 to 5,000 SHU. This pepper variety was created at the university of Ohio state in the USA. These peppers are known for there thick walls and mild heat. It gets it's name for it's popular use on pizza. Plants can be very productive and grows as tall as 3 feet. Peppers have almost no heat to a mild jalapeno type heat and get to 3.5 inches and turn to this mahogany deep red color when ripe and can get a cracking effect. We feel this wound make a great type for planting in pots. They are great for roasting on a grill, salads and drying. Open Pollinated, 85 days from transplanting.
