Dried Peppers and Powders
Our dried peppers and powders are dried and processed every year. We are offering whole & Half dried peppers, powders, Flakes, Fresh Pods and hot sauces of over 300 varieties! You can also choose our random mixed dried peppers by weight.
So why do we prefer to offer dried whole or half peppers rather then powders? Because we find the the flavor locks in and less oxidation preserves the true original flavor. In fact the body of flavor gets better as it seasons and matures!
CAUTION: !!Etreamly Hot!! Take great care when consuming some of these products. You will see a CAUTION NOTICE on products that are very very hot and care needs to be taken before attempting to eat them. It is best to grind into a fine powder and not flake. Flake can get stuck inside the gut wall and cause severe cramping 6 to 8 hours later. It is always wise to consume a small glass of heavy whipping cream before and after eating. Drinking water can make it worse so eat ice cream of heavy whipping cream. Anything 500,000 SHU and up can cause cramping.
1. Dried Whole Peppers - You may see an option to buy whole dried peppers. This means that we just dry them whole with the seeds an all. We don't like to do this as peppers can get moldy inside the pepper and you would never know it. That's why we choose to halve them rather then dry them whole.
2. Dried Pepper Halves - We carefully slice the pepper in half and remove the seeds and dry them for a few days. We then store the halves in a ziplock bag so they soften a bit for better shipping an storage. If we ship them in there crispy state they will crush before you get them. If you want them crispy again, either put them in a toaster oven, oven or even on top of a toaster for a minute or so an they will crisp right up FAST!
2. Dried Whole Peppers - You may see an option to buy whole dried peppers. This means that we just dry them whole with the seeds an all. We don't like to do this as peppers can get moldy inside the pepper and you would never know it. That's why we choose to halve them rather then dry them whole.
3. Pepper Powders - You may also see the option for a powder form. This means we ground it up in a grinder to a fine powder. Only available in 1/2 gram amounts
4. Pepper Flake - You may also see the option for a Pepper flake. This means we crush it up but not so much where its tiny pieces. Only available in 1/2 gram amounts
5. Fresh Peppers - You may see an option for fresh pepper pods. Just add to cart and we will ship you out fresh pepper pods! PLEASE NOTE: Fresh Peppers must be shipped USPS Priority Mail so select that option when ordering fresh peppers.
6. Hot Sauce - Coming Soon! Our hot sauce is home brewed using a natural fermentation process. We have several proprietary blends that we have been working on for almost a decade an now we are ready to release our new brand of hot sauce!
